Andrew Myers focuses his practice on the litigation of pharmaceutical and medical device cases in federal and state courts throughout the United States. His experience encompasses all aspects of complex drug and medical device litigation. He has extensive experience in the regulatory scheme that governs pharmaceuticals and medical devices in the United States, the Food and Drug Administration's regulations and enforcement of them, the legal issues presented in product-liability matters, the law governing admissibility of expert testimony in product-liability matters, and various medical disciplines involved in the products he has defended.
Mr. Myers also has particular experience in the area of drug and medical-device preemption, having briefed issues related to preemption in state and federal trial and appellate courts, including the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Myers is a member of the WTO national coordinating and trial counsel teams that have successfully tried or resolved through mediation, direct settlement negotiation, and motion practice numerous drug and medical-device product-liability cases for Guidant Corporation, GE Healthcare, and Pfizer Inc.
