Jessica's legal practice involves complex commercial litigation in federal and state court at both the trial and appellate level. She focuses her practice on class-action and mass-action defense in the areas of products and employment, among others, appeals, punitive damages, and insurance defense.
Jessica has extensive experience working on a wide variety of dispositive motions and appeals. She has argued and prevailed on numerous dispositive motions in state and federal court, saving her clients time and money by avoiding trial. Jessica has taken the lead on seven appeals, including four in the Colorado Court of Appeals, two in the Tenth Circuit, and one in the Arizona Court of Appeals. All of the appeals have reached decision and have resulted in wins for her clients. Jessica has a broad array of experience arguing discovery and dispositive motions, including a motion to dismiss a class action on which the WTO team prevailed in 2010. Additionally, Jessica has taken the lead on several mediations, all of which ended favorably for her clients.
Jessica has had significant experience developing and implementing strategic plans for discovery in large-scale cases, including, as just one example, managing the collection, review, and production of electronic discovery for large companies. When faced with a new case or new challenge presented by a client, Jessica's first order of business is to discuss with the client its goals for the litigation and work hand-in-hand with the client to develop the best strategy for implementing those goals and doing so with as little burden on the client as possible.
