Biography

Alison Connaughty is a former federal prosecutor with significant experience in trials and litigation. She previously was an Assistant U.S. Attorney, and she was a state Assistant Attorney General and a county Deputy District Attorney. She has first-chaired three federal jury trials, in addition to 44 state jury trials. She second-chaired an additional 23 state jury trials. She also has first-chaired bench trials in both state and federal court. Alison is President of the Colorado Women’s Bar Association.

As an AUSA at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the District of Colorado, she was in the Cybercrime and National Security Section. She was an Assistant AG in the Special Prosecutions and Financial Fraud Units in the Colorado AG’s Office, and she was a Deputy DA in the Jefferson County, Colorado, DA’s Office.

Throughout her career, Alison has managed a wide variety of sophisticated cases and investigations, from securities fraud to intellectual property to First Amendment litigation.
