WTK Partner Mark Kennedy Dies While Skiing

DENVER: The partners of Wheeler Trigg Kennedy are saddened to announce that their partner and friend Mark Kennedy died on January 11, 2009 while skiing in Canada. An avid skier, Mark was an equally passionate advocate for his clients. He was a seasoned trial lawyer with particular experience in representing franchisors in litigation, arbitration, and mediation throughout the country. Mark had a bachelor's degree from Case Western Reserve University and a law degree from Syracuse University College of Law. Mark's national franchise litigation practice will continue in the capable hands of the WTK team that he developed and led.
Mark's funeral is on Saturday, January 17, at 10:00 a.m. at Horan McConaty Funeral Home, 1091 South Colorado Boulevard, Denver.
Contributions in Mark's memory may be made to the Wheeler Trigg Kennedy Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, in care of Connie Proulx, Executive Director, WTK Foundation, 1801 California Street, Suite 3600, Denver, CO 80202. Donations will be used for projects that Mark supported through the Foundation, such as those involving animal welfare and the mastery of snow sports by at-risk youth.
