Biography

Eric Holway has significant experience defending healthcare providers in medical malpractice cases and other high-stakes litigation. He has successfully represented many of Colorado and West Virginia’s leading healthcare systems. Eric is direct and collaborative with his clients and takes a structured, disciplined, and thoughtful approach to cases. His priority with each case is to achieve the client’s desired result—whether that is posturing for a prompt, favorable resolution or aggressively defending the client through trial.

Eric also has defended hospitals, individual providers, and insurers in premises liability, breach of contract, and professional negligence cases. 

Eric has always been attracted to medicine and very nearly attended medical school instead of law school. To this day, he relishes digging into the medicine for this clients.

Cases

  • Won a defense verdict in a bench trial for a Colorado hospital in a breach of contract case.
  • Won a complete defense jury verdict for a Colorado hospital in a premises liability case.
  • Won full summary judgment for a Colorado hospital in a medical malpractice case involving an alleged spinal stroke.
  • Obtained an outright dismissal without payment for a Colorado hospital in a hospital and nursing negligence case involving treatment of an alleged foot injury.
