WOMEN IN EDISCOVERY welcomes a panel of distinguished eDiscovery professionals for a discussion on Corporate Counsel and Outside Counsel Perspectives on eDiscovery. The panel includes: Julie Jensen (Great-West Financial), Marisa Bannon (CH2M), Heather Kelly (CO AG) and Laura McNabb (Wheeler Trigg). 

Julie Jensen is Senior Counsel, Data Management & eDiscovery with Great-West Financial. Driven by her litigation and technology contract experience, Julie’s practice focuses on the relationship between Legal, IT, Compliance and business operations by providing legal advice and guidance in the areas of data management, information governance, technology integrations, fraud and employment investigations and other related topics. She currently manages the legal risk aspects of the corporate data management program and the corporate eDiscovery program. Julie received her Bachelor of Science degree from Washington State University and her law degree from University of Denver.

Marisa Bannon joined CH2M as Corporate Counsel in August 2016 and currently is Senior Counsel in the Litigation in Claims Group of Jacobs (Jacobs acquired CH2M in December 2017) where she handles a variety of claims and active litigation matters in the U.S. and Canada. After graduating from Northeastern University School of Law, Marisa began her legal career at a mid-sized firm in Boston, Massachusetts, as a litigation associate handling mostly professional liability defense with a focus on design professional defense. Marisa then practiced with a boutique litigation firm, also in Boston, Massachusetts, before moving to AIG where she handled complex construction claims.

Heather K. Kelly, Assistant Attorney General, defends Colorado state agencies, institutions of higher education, and employees in state and federal court employment litigation. Ms. Kelly has represented clients in a wide range of employment matters, including claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Fair Labor Standards Act and Fair Housing Act claims. Prior to joining the Attorney General’s office, Ms. Kelly was a partner of the law firm Gordon & Rees LLP and her practice focused on commercial litigation and professional liability defense. Ms. Kelly routinely appears in federal and state court and has co-chaired over half a dozen jury trials. In addition to her practice, Ms. Kelly regularly lectures on legal issues related to evidence, ethics and technology.

Laura McNabb is an associate attorney at Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell. Her practice focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis on class actions and complex commercial lawsuits. Laura has managed all stages of the discovery process in large, document-intensive cases. Before joining WTO, Laura clerked for Chief Justice Nancy Rice on the Colorado Supreme Court and the Honorable Judge David Ebel on the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. She earned her J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School and her B.A. from the University of Denver.
