Summitville Gold Mine Summary Judgment for Subcontractor
The U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado granted summary judgment in favor of two subcontractors who worked at the infamous Summitville gold mine in Colorado During the 1980s. WTK represented one of the subcontractors in this three-year long CERCLA (Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act) lawsuit brought by Robert Friedland, the president of the mining company, who had settled with the U.S. government in 1996 for approximately $21 million.
