Summary Judgment for Two Prominent Insurers
WTK won summary judgment for a prominent insurer faced with class-action claims that it had failed to properly offer insurance coverage to thousands of policyholders. The plaintiff sought an order requiring the insurer to reform each policyholder's policy, but the court granted summary judgment for the insurer shortly before trial. WTK also successfully defended a 2006 judgment obtained in favor of another insurer that faced similar class claims on an appeal in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit.
