WTO wins on behalf a major automobile manufacturer in Texas state court
WTO defended a major automobile manufacturer and its local dealer in a lawsuit filed in Texas state court by two parties injured in a rollover accident that occurred after a tire de-treaded. The plaintiffs claimed that the vehicle was defective in its handling or design based on its allegedly deficient response to a tire tread separation event. The plaintiffs asked for up to $50 million in compensatory damages. After a two-week trial, the jury returned a defense verdict for our clients and found the vehicle was not defective.
